LELO is a sexual wellness brand that aren’t just interested in what people are doing in their sexual and wellbeing lives, but why they are doing it and how it makes them feel. When analysing sexual trends and patterns the brand noticed a rise in polyamorous relationships. The brief to Cow was to breakdown the taboos surrounding non-monogamous love.
The Big Idea
We opened THROUPLE: the world’s first restaurant designed for throuples. That is, people in three person relationships. The first-of-its-kind polyamorous eatery opened on Valentine’s Day for one night only where people were treated to a free romantic three-course meal and drinks. And while designed for throuples, this unique restaurant welcomed all polyamorous people – whether they were in a four-way or even five-way relationship.
After stellar coverage in the likes of Metro, Time Out, Independent, Mirror and GQ, we were inundated with reservations with hundreds of polyamorous people wanting to reserve a table. The restaurant was fully booked within an hour and following its huge success LELO is considering turning THROUPLE into an annual event.
