Kraken loves a limited-edition bottle. And so do their fans. Every year the brand drops a new limited-edition rum with a dazzling ocean-inspired design and engrossing subaquatic back story. One such limited-edition was called the ‘Unknown Deep’: inspired by the vibrant bioluminescent life that calls the deepest, darkest oceans home. Our job was to launch the new limited edition with a short film that would plunge viewers into the dark and mysterious world of the Kraken.
The Big Idea
Our response was one of the most cinematic brand films we’ve ever produced, telling the thrilling story of a deep-sea cage diver who reaches the ocean abyss thousands of metres beneath the waves, witnessing the spectacular bioluminescent life, before encountering a terrifying force. Filmed using state of the art visual effects, the content was launched through a digital advertising strategy and on social media to coincide with the drop of the new bottle.
