The Brief
We were briefed by our home swapping client HomeExchange to deliver a Christmas campaign that would help normalise home swapping and present it as a brilliant alternative to traditional forms of holiday accommodation.
The Big Idea
HomeExchange is the brand that is used in the classic Christmas film The Holiday.
With this in mind we worked with star of The Holiday, Miffy Englefield (who played Jude Law’s daughter Sophie in the movie) to launch the HomeExchange 'Solo Holiday Party Pack'.
Inspired by Cameron Diaz's character, and designed specifically for people willingly embarking on a Christmas home swap alone, the Solo Holiday Party Pack included all 24 grocery items shown in the iconic film scene, including mince pies, snowmen biscuits and a socially unacceptable amount of cheese.
Our Studio team intricately recreated the scene from the movie for a shoot, with Miffy taking over Cameron Diaz's role.
The idea was inspired by research that revealed that 30% of Brits said they would love to go on a solo holiday over the festive season.
The Results
Over 20 pieces of coverage were secured including Mail Online, Metro, The Sun, The I, Daily Star, Daily Mirror, Ladbible, Elle, Grazia and Heat magazine.
