Heathrow wanted to be seen as a family friendly airport and wanted to shift perceptions away from being seen as an airport mainly for business travellers. We were asked to achieve just that through a creative campaign that would shine a light on Heathrow’s wide range of family activities, facilities, services and promotions.
The Big Idea
Heathrow cares about every passenger that passes through its terminals.
Big, small and even the ones that don’t strictly exist…
That’s the message people took home when they saw our idea announcing that Heathrow Airport was to become the world’s first ‘imaginary friend friendly airport’, with staff and shops catering to the many imaginary friends kids will take with them on their holidays.
Through a sweet piece of content in the guise of a staff training video (narrated by actor Chris O’Dowd) we succeeded in championing Heathrow’s family-friendly credentials and showing a side to the airport many had never seen before.
