J&B Start a Party featured in PR Week

Posted on 10 November, 2011

Always nice to get a little love from PR Week. So today’s featured case study from our recent work with Whisky brand J&B at their flagship ‘Start a Party’ campaign in South Africa was a very pleasent thing to see.

Focussing on our pre-party PR work across eight markets and management of a bespoke media event featuring celebrity DJs from across the globe, which generated 183 pieces of coverage, they also mentioned our social media engagement with attendees and fans in the region which led to #startaparty trending at number one in Cape Town all night.

Lily Week loveliness ‘Says It With Words’

Posted on 21 October, 2011

What’s nicer than a floral surprise in the bleak midwinter to bring cheers to everyone’s faces? Very little right, so it was with this in mind we got together with our clients at the Flower Council of Holland – to create ‘Lilyweek’ – a celebration and exploration into what exactly these wonderful flowers mean to us.

So taking to the streets, we installed some rather marvellous ‘floral word installations’ across London. A 10 foot high ‘FEMININITY’ in the shopping and dining mecca of St Christopher’s Place, ‘PURITY’ at the urban oasis of Regent’s Park and a giant floral ‘LOVE’ greeted weary holidaymakers at Heathrow Terminal 4 Arrivals Lounge. As well as bringing surprise and smiles to passers-by over two days we also handed out over 3,000 free lilies and held a competition to win lily bouquets.

Not surprisingly London went wild for the campaign, taking to twitter and facebook to tell their friends how delighted they were.  Amongst wonderful coverage amongst broadcast media at BBC Leicester, BBC Shropshire, BBC CWR, Stray FM, Colourful Radio and Swansea Sound to name a few, the campaign had a tweet reach of over 95,000 and membership to the facebook group catapulted up a massive 1,134%. Come and join us over on Facebook over here!

Angry Birds speakers in the press

Posted on 4 October, 2011

There’s nothing like a huge PR boost to get your products flying (excuse the pun) off the shelves. And press has been tumbling in for our passionate mobile accessories, speakers and gadget client Gear 4 and their flagship products for Christmas – the Angry Bird Speakers!

Looking just as good as you imagine they would, take a look at the Red Bird in this screenshot from Zoo’s Stuff Page and Black Bird from Sport Mag, and for the more digitally-minded amongst you, they’ve also been showing their furious little faces all over the likes of Engadget, Mashable and technabob… With plenty more to come.

This Christmas’ must-have – and the birds are livid about it!

Thames Clipper gets a fresh air Flower Council of Holland refit

Posted on 18 August, 2011

If there’s one thing all Londoners agree on it’s that commuting is one of the most laborious parts of the day… So imagine the unadulterated delight of a group of London workers when they got on board their usual Thames Clipper commuter boat to find it had been transformed into a magical fresh-air experience overnight.

Following research showing that everyday commuting can be more stressful than being a fighter pilot, Flower Council of Holland created a Fresh Air Zone, complete with 5,000 houseplants, aboard one of the Thames Clippers busy London services…

Local media in the area went wild for the horticultural make-over with a full page and front cover piece in Greenwich Time and glowing reviews in The Docklands, London 24 and The Wharf.  OK! even got in on the act for the World in Pictures section of the magazine.

Houseplants are scientifically proven to rid the air of lots of nasties such as bacteria, dust and mould and replace them with oxygen. Not only that, but they can also make us feel more chilled out and happy, which explains all the laughter and smiles onboard over the two day event as 3,000 people were treated to the health-boosting experience.
