If you’ve had your bay trees burgled or your bush grabbed in the night, then you are not alone.
In fact, according to new research from our client MORE TH>N, one in five gardens have been pilfered by green-fingered thieves in the 12 last months, in an unprecedented spate of plant theft across the nation. And we’re not just talking £10 here and there! Thieves are taking on average £72 worth of horticultural hauls with every garden raid. Teaming up with gardening expert Bob Flowerdew (for real!), we gave garden-proud Brits the top tips and tricks to stop plant plunderers in their tracks.
The story flourished with pieces in the I, The Guardian, London Evening Standard and The Daily Telegraph as well as gracing the The Times online. We also secured got a branded feature on BBC Radio 4’s You and Yours programme featuring a plant theft victim from Sussex. Hopefully that’ll deter those garden thieves from now on.
