The Aunt Bessie’s mash van

auntbessiesHow do you take Aunt Bessie’s mash potatoes off the food pages? Create an ice-cream style Mash Cone and tour it around the country in a Mash Van, that’s what!

Predicting we’d have another terrible British Summer we built a campaign around giving Brits the first all-weather alternative to the iconic 99 Flake – the Mash Cone comprising of mash potato, peas and gravy.

The Aunt Bessie’s Mash Van then set off across the UK where it was seen by over 300,000 Brits and generating over 80 pieces of coverage. Aunt Bessie’s mash sales went up from between 88% and 190% in the cities the Mash Van visited.

Winner – Gramia awards, PR campaign of the year
