|After a weekend of kiwi and recycling-related fun at the Isle of Wight Festival, Cow and Old Mout travelled back to the mainland for Bestival in sunny Dorset.
We were joined by journalists from the Metro, Daily Express and Cosmo to explore all that Kiwi Camp and Bestival had to offer.
We wasted no time in getting stuck into Disco Yoga, the highlight of the Kiwi Camp for our journalists, playing giant Jenga with Old Mout ciders in hand to then crush the cans in the upcycled Recycle Bicycle and wall can-crushers, earning the ‘I [heart] recycling’ or ‘I cycled to recycle’ badges.
Getting arty with eco-friendly glitter (one journo even got a sparkly kiwi on her arm to support the cause) earned everyone a ‘I’m a crafty kiwi’ patch, which then had us looking our best for the evenings of dancing to the beats of the Weapons of Sound (accessorised with Kiwi Camp tambourines), the Kiwi Camp DJ and those who braved the stage for Rockaoke.
The kiwi message was spread even beyond the Kiwi Camp fence posts as the tambourines came with us to watch the likes of Grace Jones and London Grammar.
Pre-event coverage landed in the Metro and Cosmo, with a post-festival write up coming from the Daily Express within the next week or so and an additional piece on its way from Cosmo, too.
With festival season over and our earned Kiwi Camp patches firmly and proudly ironed onto our clothes we’re already planning for next year’s kiwi-led activities, all in aid of a little bird with a big reputation.
