Milk & Sugar – and event “celebrating good taste in every way” – is an exhibition of craftsmanship and style that showcases original and inspirational brands, spanning art, lifestyle and design. It was the perfect setting for fruit and spirit-infused cider drink Blind Pig, as a way of showcasing the unique beverage to the 20,000 strong mix of trade and consumer folk who descended on Shoreditch’s Old Truman Brewery for the event that ran over the May Day bank holiday weekend.
Exuding a classic speakeasy vibe, the Blind Pig stand was a festival highlight, wowing passers-by with a bar where visitors were encouraged to pull up a pew and decide for themselves which of the drink’s three varieties – Rum & Poached Pear; Whiskey, Honey & Apple and Bourbon & Blueberry – was their favourite. Also present was an age inspired photo-booth, which gave those especially keen to get into the spirit of things the opportunity to doll themselves up in the 1920’s era glad rags and have their photo taken against a cabaret backdrop.
